About Us
Briefly, here’s how ‘xavier’ was born. After returning from a trip to Belize in August of 2004, and at a time when my heart was broken and my emotions were still very raw, I was in my native Puerto Rico before heading home to California, and I can honestly say, this didn’t come as just an idea, but as an overwhelming desire of giving way to the emotions and creativity that were rushing through my mind, and this clothing line is the result of that, but most of all, it’s a way in which I honor my little brother; Xavier, who was born on May 2, 1990 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and left us on March 3, 2004 at the age of 13, due to a kidney condition which was diagnosed when he was 14 months old.
Sitting in his room, at his desk in front of his computer, the idea started taking form in my head. One thing was very clear, the creation of this line and Xavier were one, something was being created and he was the reason for it to happen. Horses and nature were his passion, both of which represent life, and life, in its simplest form, is what my designs for this t-shirt collection represent. Although most of the designs were born back then, emotionally I was not ready to move forward, until now.
This collection offers a very tight line, with limited designs and colors, made in California of 100% cotton of the highest quality. We are an exclusive boutique manufacturer with limited runs. The collection consists of eight designs (four Men’s and four Women’s), each an expression of my abstract thinking on life and its components.
I can only hope that my brother would be proud of this product, which is a representation of him, and a symbol of my love for him, and that my heart will be guided along the way by his beautiful spirit to continue forward on this endeavor, of which this is only a part of, and in doing so, continuing his legacy of courage, something he demonstrated all throughout his short life, and, his greatest legacy of all; LOVE.
